The NOAA Blue Carbon Inventory Project addresses the nexus of climate, ecosystems and the human communities that depend on them, and provides opportunities to explore co-benefits for mitigation and adaptation. The system tracks places and times in the United States and neighboring regions when climate factors might enhance transmission of illnesses like Zika, dengue fever, and chikungunya spread by species of Aedes mosquitoes.
